Battleship Institute Seminars
The Battleship Institute was designed for educators, but is perfect for anyone wishing to learn more about the history of the Battleship New Jersey. Sessions are held twice a year in the spring and fall. Each class lasts approximately three hours, 50% of which is classroom-style instruction and 50% touring the ship itself. Special features include presentations by former Battleship sailors, former military members and battleship historians. Get a behind-the-scenes look at areas that are not yet on the tour route, and see how they are being restored.
New Jersey teachers get 15 professional credits, Pa and Delaware Teachers get in-service credits.
Secure gated parking on Clinton Street, each class member gets a CD instructional disk and related handouts.
Special one-day workshops are also available.
