BATTLESHIP NEW JERSEY’S 5-INCH GUN TO WELCOME IN 2010 WITH A BANG!
Jean-Claude Harris of New Brunswick to Fire the Big J’s Gun and Begin the New Year’s Fireworks at Midnight

DETAILS: The Battleship’s 5-inch gun will welcome in 2010 at Midnight and launch the fireworks over the Delaware River on New Year’s. Jean-Claude Harris of New Brunswick was the highest bid on an online auction and earned the chance to sit in the gun mount, pull the trigger and bring in the New Year with a bang! The gun will fire a blank that will be loud and very visible.
Tickets for both the 6pm and Midnight fireworks shows from the Battleship are still available and will be on sale at the Battleship’s Ticket Office throughout the day and evening. Tickets are an $8 donation per person and all proceeds go into the on-going maintenance and preservation of the Battleship.
The Battleship will open at 4pm for the 6pm fireworks show and 10pm for the midnight show. Guests can register for prizes in the Battleship’s Visitor Center, check out the ship’s turret and museum areas, enjoy food and bar concessions, and more.
