BATTLESHIP OPENS EVERY DAY FOR TOURS BEGINNING APRIL 1
Beginning April 1, the Battleship New Jersey will open for tours seven days a week beginning at 9:30 am with the last tour departing at 3 pm. This schedule will remain in affect through end of the month.
Now guests can experience the Fire Power guided tour, the unique General Quarters audio tour, or the newest tour, the City at Sea Tour. Whether you take a tour by one of the Battleship’s trained docents or use the audio head set for sound effects, former crew narration and more, you can now experience the Big J every day! Climb inside the legendary 16-inch gun turret, experience a tomahawk missile launch in the Combat Engagement Center, check out the medical and dental facilities and more.
Throughout April, the Battleship has teamed up with HBO Pictures “The Pacific” and offers guests the chance to record and send a free video message to active military personnel and veterans. A special kiosk is located in the Battleship’s Visitor Center that features a trailer on “The Pacific” as well as video recording.
During Easter weekend, all children visiting the Battleship will get free Peeps Marshmallow candies, courtesy of Just Born Candy.
Located on the Delaware River, along the Camden Waterfront across from the City of Philadelphia, the Battleship New Jersey also offers special school and group packages, overnight encampments and meeting/event space.
