Flyers, WXTU and Free Ice Cream this Weekend at the Big J
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE FLYERS PLAYOFF PEP RALLY, WXTU TICKET RUN AND FREE ICE CREAM TO CELEBRATE “DIXSEA CUP” OPENING

DETAILS: The Battleship New Jersey is celebrating the re-opening of the “Dixsea Cup” landside snack bar with some fun events in addition to the amazing guided and self-guided tours and overnight encampments also taking place this weekend!
On Saturday, April 18 from noon to 2 pm, join the Philadelphia Flyers on the Battleship New Jersey and get Flyered Up for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. You can take a shot-on-goal, learn how to play hockey or get tips from the experts, win great prizes, pick up some great giveaways including t-shirts, orange wigs and cheer cards, and meet special guests including alumni and the Delta Dental Ice Team. The Pep Rally is free with any tour, or get pier and fantail access for a $5 donation.
At 2 pm on Saturday, April 18, WXTU, Philadelphia’s Country Music Radio Station, will be landside playing music, awarding prizes and distributing tickets to their WXTU 25th Anniversary Show at the Susquehanna Bank Center on June 13, featuring performances by Big & Rich, Phil Vasser, James Otto, Kelly Pickler, Jessica Andrews and the Zac Brown Band. The Ticket Run is free to all guests.
On Sunday, from 11 am to 3 pm, guests touring the Battleship can enjoy a free ice cream cup, courtesy of Turkey Hill. This will be distributed at the “Dixsea Cup.” Look for the large inflatable Turkey Hill cow!
