Welcoming home RADM Ronald D. Tucker, the ship’s 19th and final commanding officer

Battleship New Jersey was incredibly honored today to welcome aboard RADM Ronald D. Tucker, the ship’s 19th and final commanding officer. He was also joined by one of his former BB62 officers, CDR Michael Burke. They both signed the Signing Wall, enjoyed a tour through museum spaces, and RADM Tucker gifted the museum a plaque which features the firing key he used to fire the final 16-inch round. His final crew gifted this to him, and the museum is grateful the Admiral has gifted it onto us.

Back in March, we flew our WETSU battle flag on the way to dry dock. The WETSU phrase was imparted by RADM Tucker during his time as CO. We eat this stuff up!
